IMPORTANT NOTE:
Manager details are pulled from the 'Job Manager' associated with the 'Client' in XPM.
Client details are pulled from the 'Contact Details' associated with the 'Client' in XPM.
Please ensure that you have a Manager and Client email associated to each Client before linking the App to XPM.
TO CONNECT XPM TO THE APP
Once you have linked your IRD Client List/s, you will be redirected to the XPM page under Operation Settings;
Click on 'Continue to XPM connection' which then ask you to upload a client report spreadsheet from your XPM;
On clicking 'Connect to XPM', you will be sent to your Xero login;
Once done, you will be sent back to the app to follow the remaining steps.
Once the connection with XPM is complete, a notification pop-up will show on the screen and the App user will be notified via an email from no-reply@pluginaccountant.com.
The connection to XPM does not need to be live. It is a one time data pull. However, to manually match any unmatched clients or managers, the XPM connection needs to be toggled to 'on'.
Unmatched Clients and Managers
Any remaining unmatched email addresses and managers will be flagged in the 'Clients' tab under Tax Admin.
To easily find them, use the filters;
On the grey arrow next to the client's name, click on it to show the most relevant possible matches;
Select the correct match and click on 'save selected'. The matched line item will then disappear from the page.
If there are no possible matches or you choose to select 'I'll match this entity manually', you will be asked to copy paste the entity's XPM ID;
Please note that the app matches IRD data to XPM data based on entity name and IRD number only. If there isn't a grey arrow next to a client without an email or manager, this needs to be updated in XPM.

Connection Report
This spreadsheet shows all of the results pulled from XPM (Clients tab) and if matching was successful (Results tab).
Managers
Any managers that have been imported through the XPM connection will be imported in to the app in a disabled state. The app owner can then select to send invitations as required from the Practice Users tab under Operation Settings.
Updating Client and Manager Details
If client or manager details chance in XPM, these need to be reflected in the app.
To update the app;
- go to Operation settings -> XPM
- toggle 'Enable outgoing emails' to 'off'
- click 'refresh XPM data'
- toggle 'Enable outgoing emails' to 'on'
Any letters sitting in the Inbox when resuming outgoing emails will be triaged as per letter control settings.
